The Scriptures say that we should love God with all of our heart and we should love our neighbors as ourselves.
It also says we should love those who hate us.
Now, that's a tall order, nearly impossible. Who can do this?
Yet, I have found (often while sharing a little time with someone over a sketchbook) we may discover that others do not dislike us as we were told.
In fact, we may discover hidden brothers and sisters everywhere we turn, previously separated only by illusory boundaries created by someone that didn't know either of us, and perhaps not themselves, either.
This isn't the full answer, of course, but it's a start.
I have sent art supplies with missionaries to places such as Mexico, Mali, Ghana, Chad and other locations, and they were kind to mention this.
